Comité Conjoint des Matériaux de Construction

IMPORTANT – ACTIVITIES CONTINUE AT THE CCMC

On November 28, 2025, the Joint Construction Materials Committee (CCMC) obtained a 10-day safeguard order from the Superior Court. This order temporarily suspended the application of section 17.01 of the Decree respecting the metal joinery industry of the Montreal region (CQLR, c. D-2, r. 14) (the “Decree”). This section stipulated that the Decree would remain in effect until November 30, 2025.

Therefore, the judgment rendered on November 28 ensured that the scheduled expiry of the Decree did not take effect and that its effects remained in place until December 9, 2025, at 11:59 p.m.

This period was extended until December 12, 2025, to allow the Court time to issue its judgment on the application to extend the safeguard order. Therefore, the judgment of November 28, 2025, is postponed to December 12, 2025.

We are aware of the tight deadlines in this matter and apologize for any inconvenience caused. Please be assured that further information will be provided as soon as it becomes available, which will be this Friday.
